During a recent women’s hockey game between North American Hockey Academy and Notre Dame, NAHA pulled off an awesome trick play to net a unique highlight-reel goal. Tied at 1-1 in the second period, NAHA won a faceoff in the offensive zone and set up with a 5-on-3 advantage.
After some great puck movement in the zone, one of NAHA’s defenders at the point passes it through the legs of the other as she fakes the shot on net. Notre Dame bites on the fake while a forward slides back and fires an absolute laser on net, beating the unsuspected goaltender for the go-ahead goal.
Nice creativity and even better execution by the ladies.
