It looks like T.O. will not be ready for a full season of football, lockout or not.
Owens underwent surgery to repair a torn ACL in one of his knees after an undisclosed injury during the offseason, ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reports. He will be out for six months.
Orthopedist Dr. James Andrews reportedly performed the surgery within the last month.
There are conflicting reports on how the 37-year-old tore his ACL. One source said the injury happened while he was taping a television show for VH1. Another source told ESPN that Owens’ injury occurred during a personal workout.
