It is incredible how often flopping in soccer occurs. The below video however made me re-think my take on flopping when trying to get a call. I no longer find it to be that embarrassing or even that despicable. The video did make me think that the Vlade Divac of soccer has been found, and he is as bad as it gets. Flopping during a celebration of a goal is taking it to another level. Soccer, you just hit a new low.
The first comment sums it up quite well:
Translation – “I felt my uterus rupture, and the pain was so great that I didn’t want anybody to see my face. So I fell to the ground. And there I was on the pitch in all this incredible pain. I could hardly walk, so all these guys came to my rescue. What can I say, it was really painful.”
