We have seen numerous animals run across football fields including squirrels and even cats, but I have never seen a skunk do so. Brandon Speck of the DJournal captured the chaotic scene on camera during a high school game between Baldwyn and Booneville, and it is hard not to laugh at how quickly players and coaches ran for the hills. The skunk could not have streaked at a better time as Booneville had been dominated throughout the entire first half leading Baldwyn by 27-7 at the half. Following the skunk incident, Baldwyn went on a tear and ended up winning 28-27 victory.
