Cliff Lee has agreed to sign with the Phillies, according to MLB.com’s T.R. Sullivan. According to T.R.; “Cliff Lee is going to the Philadelphia Phillies, industry sources said Monday night. The Rangers were told Monday night that Lee is going to the Phillies, It is a done deal.” The Yankees were told earlier tonight that they were out of the running to sign Lee even though their’ offer to Cliff Lee was 6 years, $138 million, with a seventh-year player option for an additional $16 million; a total of $154 m. The deal with the Phillies is reportedly a 5 year one.
