Earlier today Cosby Sweaters reported on the sideline spat between 49ers coach Mike Singletary and starting QB Troy Smith. Maybe this display was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Whatever it was, Singletary was fired this evening as coach of the San Francisco 49ers after their 25-17 loss to the St Louis Rams. The loss ended all playoff hopes for San Francisco. The 49ers president Jed York is holding a press conference tomorrow at 12:00pm.
