It is not surprising that, at eleven years old, Lucy Li is the youngest golfer to ever qualify for the U.S. Women’s Open. What is surprising is that she’s done so while basically retaining the traits of an average eleven year old. Li is five-foot-one and weighs less than one hundred pounds BUT she can still hit her driver over 200 yards.

And judging from the clip above, she’s also already pretty savvy with the media. And when I say savvy, I mean ADORABLE.

It has to be the mixture of eleven year old gumption (“Can you dad beat you?” “Hehehehehehe. No.”) and childhood awe (“It’s awesome right? I mean, Pinehurst and Augusta National in, like, two months? I mean, that’s just amazing.”) that really makes this a joy to watch.

She probably won’t win the Open but she’s already won our hearts.
