On Tuesday, four-year-old beagle Miss P won the Westminster Dog Show.
The victory was a bit unexpected as Miss P was going up against the more heavily favored (and awesomely named) Swagger, an Old English sheepdog and Matisse, a Portuguese water dog who also happens to be the cousin of President Obama’s dog Sunny.
Miss P is just the second beagle to ever win the Westminster Dog Show. The first beagle to win the show was Uno, who won the event in 2008. Fittingly, Miss P happens to be Uno’s grandneice.
Having won the show, Miss P is now going to retire while she’s on top of the game. According to the New York Times, she will soon focus on motherhood.
