During Monday’s World Junior Championship matchup between Canada and Slovakia in Sweden, the arena’s resurfacer broke down during the second intermission. This meant that the ice crew had to come out and clean up the ice themselves, which led to one crew member taking a hilarious spill just seconds after running out onto the ice.
Apparently, he didn’t get the memo that ice is slippery.
The crowd highly enjoyed the unintentional intermission entertainment and gave the crew member a standing ovation for his slapstick performance. To his credit, he seemed to have a good sense of humor and acknowledged the crowd as he got back to work.
