The bad dream of an NFL lockout is slowing becoming a reality today. Both parties (the players and the owners) have released statements giving their stories behind the breakdown in negotiations. DeMaurice Smith, the head of the recently dissolved NFLPA gave a press statement earlier this evening claiming that the players wanted to play and the owners couldn’t meet them halfway.
