The Denver Broncos are expected to hire John Elway to a front office position by the end of the season.
The position, while not officially announced, is expected to be one with broad personnel power where Elway will work closely with owner Pat Bowlen and COO Joe Ellis. Right now work is being done to figure out a job title and fair salary.
This is a long-rumored and overdue move by the Broncos. If anyone can win back the Denver fans and bring credibility back to the organization, it’s John Elway, and lord knows they need it.
