Meet Traffic Jam Jimmy. He’s a reporter for Fox 45 in Baltimore, he has an orange beard, and the poor guy just wants a damn fish sandwich.
Jimmy was sent out into the elements to report on the blizzard in the D.C. metropolitan area this week, driving around in the snow storm since 4 A.M. All that driving and reporting can make a man very hungry, which is why Jimmy decided to hit the McDonald’s drive-thru to see if he could get his hands on a tasty fish sandwich.
Unfortunately for Jimmy, his hunger caused him to forget that he still had a job to do and Fox 45 ended up tossing to him live as he attempted to order his coveted sandwich. At the very least, you have to give Jimmy credit for not aborting his mission. Even with the realization that he was on live television, he still went ahead and placed his order. That’s commitment.
Sadly, it was too early for a fish sandwich but an egg McMuffin and a coffee is not a bad plan B.
PS – That conveniently placed McDonald’s container in Jimmy’s back seat gives me a slight suspicion that this might be a marketing ploy by the fast food chain. He’s given the restaurant plenty of promotion on the air before but, hey, maybe the man just really loves his Mickey D’s.
