A new report by ChangeWave Research, a company that identifies, quantifies, and analyzes consumer, industry, and consumer trends, shows that Verizon iPhone customers experience fewer dropped calls than AT&T iPhone users. ChangeWave says the frequency of dropped calls with Verizon iPhone customers is on par with the number of dropped calls experienced by Verizon customers who use phones other the the iPhone. Why is this important? If this data is in fact accurate, the responsibility for dropped calls may lie with the carrier rather than Apple. Apple and its “antennagate” issues have long been believed to be the culprit for dropped calls. If you believe the chart below, AT&T is the actual culprit.
