Apple has filed a trademark infringement lawsuit against Amazon for improperly using the “App Store” name. Amazon has been using the “App Store” trademark for its mobile software developer program. Apple is seeking a court order that would prevent Amazon from using the “App Store” name and is also asking for unspecified damages. In addition to Amazon’s use of “App Store” in its developer program, Apple contends Amazon has plans to use the name with a future mobile software download service.
