A recent match between FC Nordsjælland and Randers FC in the Danish Superligaen was highlighted by an epic fail on the part of a multi-tasking spectator, who paid dearly for his attempt at showing off for the crowd. An errant shot from Randers striker Ronnie Schwartz sailed high and wide of the goal, and whizzed towards the stands, where said spectator decided to casually kick the ball back in the general direction of the field — via an ill-advised back-heel kick.
Unfortunately, he whiffed entirely, and the ball ricocheted off the steps and directly into his drink holder — spilling everything. That’ll teach you to talk on your cell phone at sporting events.
