And by “making himself disappear” I mean he accidentally jumped into a giant f-cking hole in the ground.
This hilarious clip comes from Brazil’s Série A action last night and shows Coritiba forward Joel scoring the second of his two goals, then celebrating by plunging into the tunnel behind the goal that leads to the locker rooms underneath the stadium. The tunnel was covered by a giant Coritiba flag, preventing Joel from realizing what he was getting himself into as he leapt over the barrier and went crashing down the stairs.
My favorite part is the security guard who realizes what’s about to happen, but realizes it way too late. Way to be on your toes, pal.
Fortunately for Joel, he seemed to avoid serious injury (aside from a bruised ego) but he couldn’t avoid a yellow card for excessive celebration.
