Clint Dempsey recently went for a stroll around New York City doing that thing that athletes do where they ask questions about themselves to people who don’t realize they’re actually talking to the person they’re being asked about. Sometimes it’s a local athlete, and other times — as is the case with Dempsey — it’s the captain of the United States’ Men’s Soccer Team. The same team that captured everyone’s attention when they made it to the Round of 16 in the 2014 World Cup. Well, maybe not everyone’s attention.
