Manchester United and Arsenal already unveiled their new kits for the upcoming season with big events and press releases earlier this summer, but another English football club – the Blackburn Rovers of the Football League Championship – has just unveiled their new kits in a far more creative (and creepy) fashion than their former EPL opponents.

While the Rovers’ new jerseys aren’t so bad, they video that they used to debut them is spectacularly weird and uncomfortable. It features one of the team’s well-known fans – an elderly gentleman by the name of Alan “Birdy” Birkbeck – preparing for a date with a female fan.

After a slow motion shaving sequence and a disturbing scene that featured Birdy’s sweaty face creepily smirking at the young lady’s photo, the jersey was unveiled outside of the team’s stadium.

While it’s quite the odd and uncomfortable way of revealing a jersey, I have to give the team credit for having a sense of humor and, ultimately, effectively manufacturing a decent amount of buzz amongst people – like myself – who generally wouldn’t care about this unveil.
