A restaurant in Georgia is under fire in a viral controversy after charging a couple $50 for their children’s alleged unruly behavior.

A Reddit post showing Toccoa Riverside Restaurant rules blew up with thousands of commenters in a fury over the gratuity requirements.

The restaurant charges 20 percent gratuity for parties over six people, parties that ask for separate checks, and parties that order from the birthday menu.

The restaurant charges $3 for sharing food, and the menu prices are for cash only and card payment requires a 3.5 percent charge.

Most controversially, however, there is the note that the restaurant will charge an “Adult surcharge” for “adults unable to parent $$$.”

“The kids were sitting at one end of the table and they were being so good,” Resaturant guest Lyndsey Landmann told TODAY.. “I even commented halfway through the meal, ‘I can’t believe how well-behaved they are.’”

However, Tim Richter, owned of Toccoa, apparently came to their table after dessert to berate the parents for the urly children.

“He has the menu in hand and he’s showing us where it talks about the fee,” Landmann said. “At first I thought he was gonna compliment us and be like, ‘But you won’t be charged because your kids were so well-behaved.’”

Richter allegedly charged them $50 and yelled at them instead.
