Former American president Donald Trump is currently facing massive civil court action in New York.

State Attorney General Letitia James filed a $250 million civil suit against Trump, alleging that his business, The Trump Organization, defrauded insurance companies and banks to obtain favorable loans as it built its real estate empire.

Trump, back in court Tuesday morning, didn’t waste an opportunity to lambaste James before the press and once again claim that Mar-a-Lago is worth as much as $1.5 billion while being “the most expensive house, probably, in the world” despite being zoned as a private athletic club.

The world was quick to react to the insane Trump proclamation:

“All totally normal stuff for a guy on trial,” one man sarcastically wrote on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

“The fact that Trump’s valuation of Mar-a-Lago has gone up by, like, 50 percent, OVER THE COURSE OF THE TRIAL… kind of speaks to why he’s being tried in the first place,” Elie Mystal wrote.

“He lowballs it for tax assessors, highballs it for real estate & PR purposes. And attacks anybody who questions what he claims is the truth. The last thing a perpetual con man wants you to know is the actual truth about anything,” wrote Roger Wallace.

“It’s not a house. It’s a swimming and croquet club where *no one* is supposed to live, not even him. Except the Palm Beach council was too afraid/tired to deal with him violating his agreement with the town,” wrote S.V. Dáte.

“I see he’s playing ‘real estate appraiser’ cosplay again. Mar-A-Lago, the most expensive home in the world and nearly 1.3 Billion more than the highest FL real estate sale? Lol. I’m glad I didn’t get my Appraiser certification at Trump University.”
