When former Washington Commanders team owner Dan Snyder decided to help fund a new film called The Apprentice which he thought would showcase his friend Donald Trump in a positive light. But as it turns out, the film does not portray Trump the way either of them wanted, and Trump appears to be ready to take legal action.
According to a report from Variety, Donald Trump and his legal team have sent a cease and desist letter to the makers of the film warning them not to pursue a distribution deal and threatening legal action if they do. His legal team also had a pretty strong statement speaking out against the film which they called “pure malicious defamation.”
“This ‘film’ is pure malicious defamation, should not see the light of day, and doesn’t even deserve a place in the straight-to-DVD section of a bargain bin at a soon-to-be-closed discount movie store, it belongs in a dumpster fire,” Steven Cheung, Trump campaign communications director, said in a statement, according to Variety.
Obviously, this is a pretty significant legal move from Donald Trump, and it led to a lot of reactions on social media.

What do you think is so character defaming that the guy known for pimping out his cheeleaders and harassing every female employee is trying to get it legally blocked?
