Vice-Skip – Jim Harbaugh
If we learned anything this Olympics (especially after our women giving up an Olympic record 7 points in a single end) is that strategy is as big of a component of curling success if not bigger than hitting key draws. So we need to recruit members to Team USA with a proven track record of strategy execution both on and off and field of play. Oh – and they need to be able to yell a lot.
Leading the way will be a skip and vice-skip that provide all of these qualities, and we start with Jim Harbaugh. Passionate, resilient, Stanford….these are qualities you want on the ice. Plus as an ex-quarterback (with Pro Bowl and Big Ten Player of the Year honors), he knows a thing or two about accuracy and tight windows. This will set up perfectly for the skip…
