Norwegian defenseman Mats Trygg had a rough opening game in Sochi on Thursday. Not only did Norway drop their debut 3-1 to Canada, Trygg also appeared to injure his leg on a battle in front of his net during the third period. Then, as he tried to skate off the ice, an official quite literally added insult to injury when he unknowingly skated directing into Trygg, knocking him over.
The veteran defenseman was then given a helping hand from a teammate before crawling onto the bench area and being helped to the locker room.
