9. Short Track Speed Skating
Chaos. That’s all I think about when I watch short track speed skating. While some of the longer races start out at a slow pace, when things get going this sport is sheer utter chaos with multiple skates within inches of each other while navigating quick turns. Oh and everyone gets to wear 17” knives on their feet. And sometimes those people hit the deck and crash into the boards still wearing these 17” knives.
But for the best example of short track chaos, just try and watch one relay race when 16 skaters are weaving in and out of the action. Chaos.
