NHL referee Dave Lewis had a tough day at the office on Tuesday night in Boston, suffering a broken jaw after taking a puck to the face during the first period of the Bruins game against the Wild. The puck struck Lewis in the corner and appeared to open up a cut between his lower lip and chin, causing him to begin bleeding pretty significantly.
After attempting to get repairs at the bench, Lewis headed to the locker room where trainers confirmed the jaw had been broken. Ouch.
