The NHL has been plagued by several cases of the mumps this winter, and the outbreak doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon. Sidney Crosby and Beau Bennett of the Pittsburgh Penguins were the latest to get diagnosed this week and, unfortunately, there’s the possibility that Bennett maaaaaay have given it to some sick kids during a recent hospital visit.
Yeah, it’s getting pretty ugly.
One positive to come out of the outbreak, however, is this NHL fan‘s song about the outbreak, titled “Mumps Face” – a parody of Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space.” As a huge hockey fan and possibly an even bigger Taylor Swift fan, this is excellent.
Also, in case you were wondering what “Mumps Face” looks like…
