Boston Bruins forward Nathan Horton is one unlucky dude. In late January, it was reported that he suffered a “mild concussion” following a blindside hit from Flyers’ forward Tom Sestito. In early February, he began skating again but then continued to suffer from concussion-related symptoms which have kept him off the ice to this day. According to Joe Haggerty from CSSNE.com, a source close to Horton shared that “there have been no extensive organizational conversations about shutting down Horton as of yet, but the B’s concussed power forward “[won’t be returning] anytime soon.” Last year, in the first postseason appearance of his career, he racked up 17 points in 21 games, before his season was tragically cut short. As most of us have tried to forget, Horton was stretchered off the ice in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals, after this DEVASTATING hit by former Canucks defenseman Aaron Rome, who paid the price of a four-game suspension:

His lack of progress could indicate that he’ll be watching playoffs from the sidelines…yet again.
