Toronto Maple Leafs fans know failure, disappointment and anguish…and they know it well. Even so, these past few days have been extra painful for the team and their loyal fan base. Fresh on the heels of a 6-2 loss to the lowly Buffalo Sabres, the Leafs were absolutely destroyed by a score of 9-2 against the Nashville Predators at home on Tuesday night. At one point, the Leafs trailed 8-0.

As you’d imagine, this did not sit well with the Toronto faithful. Or, as it seems, even the not-so-faithful.
The team’s abysmal performance led to some very sad young fans in attendance. Photographers eventually became bored with the ass whoopin’ on the ice and, instead, pointed their cameras as these poor young souls, who appear to be experiencing initiation into the tortured existence that is being a Leafs fan.
But Leafs players weren’t the only ones who sucked at their jobs on Tuesday night. Even the team’s beat reporters were ready to serve up some hot garbage after the game.
Cody Franson was asked directly if the players are trying to get Randy Carlyle fired. "Fuck no."

Phaneuf also asked if the team is trying to get their coach fired. "No." He left out the F'*k part that Franson added when asked

Yup, everything seems to be par for the course in Leafs country these days.
