I don’t know too much about John Amirante, but a quick Google search reveals that he has been singing National Anthems before New York Rangers games at Madison Square Garden for a couple of decades now. He returned to MSG to kick off the Rangers opening round series against the Flyers on Thursday night, and his rendition was pretty much a mess.
