Monday night’s Canadiens-Lightning game in Tampa Bay might have provided hockey fans with the best save of the young NHL season, and it wasn’t even made by a goaltender. Lightning defenseman Anton Stralman made a huge sliding kick save to deny Jiri Sekac of a game-tying rebound goal in the second period.
Stralman did a fantastic job to bail out his goaltender, Ben Bishop, who allowed the juicy rebound off a shot from the point. Bishop immediately showed his gratitude by giving Stralman a much-deserved pat on the back.
