Chris Pavlica and Zach Baumgartner are filmmakers who also happen to be huge Los Angeles Kings fans, and they’ve found a hilarious way to combine their passions. The duo has debuted a brand new web series that follows the (fictional) adventures of some of the Kings’ biggest stars, most notably talented 24-year old defenseman Drew Doughty, in their lives off the ice.

“The Dewy Show” combines a unique mixture of animation and live-action that is sure to get a few laughs, but also has plenty of humor that Kings fans – and hockey fans in general – should find quite hilarious.

The first two episodes of the series follow Dewy and teammate Trevor Lewis (or “Lewy”) in their quest to throw an “epic rager” that can compete with the parties of notorious wild boys Jeff Carter and Mike Richards. There are plenty of cameos from other Kings personalities – including Jonathan Quick, Dustin Brown, Alec Martinez and, my personal favorite, a double-syrup-fisting Dustin Penner:

Puck Daddy’s Greg Wyshynski spoke to Pavlica and Baumgartner about their odd new project and the interview is definitely worth checking out, which you can do here.

The second episode of the series can be found below, and the third can’t come soon enough.
