This video comes from an NHL preseason game between the Kings and Avalanche in Colorado Springs earlier this month and shows Los Angeles goaltender Jonathan Quick sneaking an autograph for a kid and slipping it through the glass during a game.
Not only is it a pretty cool gesture by Quick, it’s also pretty hilarious to see because of how guilty he looks while doing it. I’m sure Darryl Sutter wouldn’t be too pleased if the coach knew he was signing autographs instead of paying attention to the action on the ice, so Quick does his best to be inconspicuous…like a middle school kid passing a note in class.
If we learned anything this preseason, it’s that goalies can be some pretty cool dudes.
