John Scott is working on what is shaping up to be the most impressive week of his NHL career, even if that’s not exactly saying much. Not only did Scott, who’s primarily recognized as a goon, score earlier this week against the Capitals, but he also laid a massive hit on Mikhail Grabovski during Thursday’s game against the Islanders.
The big check was a clean one, as Scott went shoulder-to-shoulder with his arms tucked in and his feet on the ground. Grabovski didn’t see it coming at all and appeared to was very shaken up as a result (he left the game and didn’t return) but Scott did pretty much everything you’d want from a guy his size.
