The Philadelphia Eagles handily beat the New Orleans Saints on Sunday by a score of 39-17, improving to 2-3 on the year.
And while being sub-.500 may not seem like a reason to cheer, when one considers that the Eagles finally seemed to wake up after bumbling through the first quarter of the season (and that the NFC East appears to be a disaster), Eagles fan Bernard English had every reason to be ecstatic about his team.
You know a hype speech is going to be epic when Muhammad Ali AND Jiminy Cricket get name-dropped. If Philadelphia local news could interview English after every game, there’s a good chance that it’d be more interesting than watching whatever Sam Bradford has to say in his post-game press conference.
