Yesterday, the Seattle Seahawks defense actually looked (for one half, at least) like the Super Bowl-winning defense of last season. First, there was Bruce Irvin’s marvelous pick-6, which he tipped to himself. One the next series, Richard Sherman snagged his first interception of the season with a very impressive catch on a ball thrown behind him. It appeared for a moment that Sherman might hit pay dirt as well, which almost certainly would have put the game out of reach. He did not, but it wasn’t for lack of trying, or for having help along the way. Watch as Earl Thomas appears to take out weeks of frustration on poor Mychal Rivera, just the latest NFL tight end to feel the wrath of the Legion of Boom.
