The Washington Commanders currently hold the No. 2 overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. They are widely expected to select a quarterback with the pick, but it’s not exactly clear which player they are primarily targeting. But it sounds like the team is making sure to get a close look at all of their options.

According to a report from NFL insider Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report, the Washington Commanders are set to meet with all three of their top options at quarterback this week: Michigan Wolverines quarterback J.J. McCarthy, North Carolina Tar Heels quarterback Drake Maye, and LSU Tigers quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels.

“Sources: The #Commanders will host J.J. McCarthy, Drake Maye and Jayden Daniels for visits next week. Washington taking a long look at all three QBs, as they hold the No. 2 overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft,” Schultz said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Obviously, this news led to a lot of reactions on social media.

With the Chicago Bears presumably set to select Caleb Williams with the No. 1 overall pick, it will be interesting to see who the Commanders settle on at No. 2.
