The Washington Commanders currently hold the No. 2 overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. And while they are widely expected to select a quarterback with the pick, it’s not exactly clear which quarterback they are targeting. But whoever it is, it sounds like the team will be meeting with that player this week.
According to a report from NFL insider Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report, the Washington Commanders are bringing in three quarterbacks for visits next week: Michigan Wolverines quarterback J.J. McCarthy, North Carolina Tar Heels quarterback Drake Maye, and LSU Tigers quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels.
“Sources: The #Commanders will host J.J. McCarthy, Drake Maye and Jayden Daniels for visits next week. The Chicago Bears hold the No. 1 overall pick in the draft and are widely expected to select USC Trojans quarterback Caleb Williams, so Washington will be able to pick any of the remaining quarterbacks with the No. 2 overall pick.
We’ll have to see who they ultimately select.
