D.J. Swearinger tackled Tyler Eifert about as hard as a 5’10”, 208 pound safety possibly can to stop the leaping catch.
Eifert’s back was turned as he came down to catch the ball and Swearinger just leveled him. Watch the hard hit go down, and the tight end subsequently squirm in pain.
Swearinger is looking for a job and by all appearances, it looks like he definitely does not want to be cut. Eifert will be having nightmares about the safety for the rest of his life, and that’s a pretty good sign for the Buccaneers.
