Troy Aikman once lost track of his offensive line, leading to a very awkward moment with a former teammate.
On Thursday Night Football, the NFL Network broadcaster and former Dallas Cowboys star QB talked about an accidental encounter he had with a former guard of his. When receiving a snap, Aikman accidentally put his hands under his left guard instead of his center. As you can imagine, it was awkward.
“You can only imagine how that maybe spooked him. He called everybody daddy, everybody was daddy this, daddy that. All he said was, he kind of looked back and said ‘it ain’t me daddy.'”
There’s a lesson here for all quarterbacks. Keep your hands in the right spot. Otherwise, it’s going to get incredibly uncomfortable for all parties involved – especially, if they call you daddy afterward.
