Superstar tight end Travis Kelce has played his entire career with the Kansas City Chiefs up to this point and seems to be heading toward eventually finishing his career with the team, as well. But during a recent interview, he revealed that if circumstances were right, he could actually consider leaving the team to play elsewhere.
During the most recent episode of his New Heights podcast with his brother Jason Kelce, the two brothers spent some time talking about the possibility of a future expansion team in London, England, and whether or not they would be interested in playing for a team across the pond in London.
And Travis Kelce did not hesitate as he indicated that he would be interested in playing for a team in London as he said that would be “the only situation” in which he would leave the Kansas City Chiefs.
“I’m waiting for that team to play for another team other than the Chiefs,” Travis Kelce said according to USA Today. “That’s the only situation [I would leave the Chiefs] is if I get to play abroad.”
The good news for Chiefs fans is that it’s unlikely Kelce will get this chance as an expansion team is unlikely to begin in London until after Kelce is retired from the league given that he is nearing retirement age.
