What was supposed to be a day filled with joy and celebration after the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl LVIII win over the San Francisco 49ers quickly turned into tragedy when a gunman opened fire at the celebratory parade on Wednesday afternoon, injuring at least 22 people and killing one. And it sounds like Travis Kelce was saddened by what took place.
Following the tragic incident, Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end Travis Kelce took to social media to express his heartbreak at what happened during what was supposed to be a celebratory occasion.
“I am heartbroken over the tragedy that took place today. My heart is with all who came out to celebrate with us and have been affected. KC, you mean the world to me,” Kelce said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.
