Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end Travis Kelce has been thrust into the spotlight the past few months after he began dating pop sensation Taylor Swift. And now, it sounds like Kelce is taking on a new challenge as he tries to break into Hollywood.
Travis Kelce is an executive producer on the upcoming film “My Dead Friend Zoe,” which is “a dark comedy that follows a U.S. Army veteran who struggles with her family due to the spiritual presence of her dead Army friend, Zoe,” according to TMZ Sports.
And according to actress Sonequa Martin-Green, who plays the lead role in the film, had some high praise for Kelce and what he has brought to the project.
“He wanted to support veterans,” Martin-Green said according to TMZ Sports. “That’s what I heard — he wanted to support veterans and someone pointed him to our film.
“It’s all about the ‘why’ and I feel like if anybody has the right ‘why,’ they’ll succeed.”
The film seems to have been well received so far as it has received a 9.2 rating out of 10 on IMDb.
We’ll have to see if Kelce continues to try to make it in Hollywood, especially after he eventually retires from his NFL career.
