Aside from Odell Beckham Jr.’s mind-boggling catch in Week 12, the New York Giants have provided fans with almost nothing to get excited about and that trend continued in Week 12. Losers of seven games in a row, their latest exploits might have been the worst of all as they blew a 21-0 first half lead against the second-worst (sorry, Raiders) team in the league. Following that blown lead and subsequent loss in Jacksonville on Sunday, head coach Tom Coughlin provided one of the best quotes in recent memory.
We could have knelt on the ball in the second half and had a better chance to win.
The embattled veteran coach that might be unemployed very soon was referring to two gift turnover-related touchdowns in the second half. The loss put the Giants at 3-9 for the season.
