The thought of having Marcus Mariota throw the ball to you would probably excite most receivers. But it wasn’t excitement running across the minds of Tennessee Titans receivers Kendall Wright and Justin Hunter when Mariota was selected with the No. 2 overall draft pick. You could almost feel their disappointment when the Titans chose Mariota.
It’s not that Wright and Hunter hate Mariota, it’s that they’re close friends with their quarterback Zach Mettenberger. But once Mariota throws a couple deep ones their way, I’m sure they’ll forget all about him.
