Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce celebrated his birthday this weekend, but his pop superstar girlfriend was not there to celebrate, sparking outrage from fans.
Travis Kelce celebrated his 35th birthday at his second annual Kelce Car Jam charity event in Kansas City on Saturday afternoon. But while Kelce was surrounded by family and friends, Taylor Swift was not at the event.
Kelce confirmed that he Swift would not be at the event, but he confirmed that she would indeed be in attendance for Monday night’s game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the New Orleans Saints.
“She will be not be here [today. But] I know she’s coming in for the game,” Kelce told Page Six at the event on Saturday.
It’s not clear exactly why Swift didn’t attend the event, but her decision to skip his birthday celebration sparked outrage among fans on social media.
“can’t believe she didn’t show up! like, i totally thought she would be there for travis,” another fan wrote
“It’s over for Kelce. Brace yourselves for another song from Taylor Swift about her poor life choices,” another fan added
“Maybe she is the problem if this is true…she done been in umpteen relationships and hardly lasted over 2 years or less. I say time and time again celebs dating other celebs hardly ever works out,” another fan said.
“Although I’m pretty sure she has stuff to do, missing the birthday is definitely not a good look, sis!” another person added.
“They’re so done,” another fan said.
We’ll have to see whether or not she does attend Monday night’s game, especially after she missed the past two Chiefs’ games.
