Taylor Swift, who is now a big part of the NFL world thanks to her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, was forced to cancel three of her concerts in Vienna, Austria earlier this month as a result of a terrorist threat against the concerts. She remained silent on the cancelations for many days, and fans still aren’t necessarily happy with the statement she finally made regarding the cancelations.

Following her final concerts in London this week to close out the European leg of her Eras Tour, Taylor Swift shared a post on social media in which she explained why she did not publicly address the canceled shows in Austria.

“Let me be very clear: I am not going to speak about something publicly if I think doing so might provoke those who would want to harm the fans who come to my shows,” Swift said in a post on Instagram. “In cases like this one, ‘silence’ is actually showing restraint, and waiting to express yourself at a time when it’s right to. My priority was finishing our European tour safely, and it is with great relief that I can say we did that.”

But not everyone was happy with this explanation. In fact, the statement sparked outrage among many fans.

Clearly, this was not a satisfactory statement to many people.
