The Pittsburgh Steelers are arguably the worst team in the 14-team playoff field this season. The Steelers lost their final four games of the regular season, each against playoff-caliber teams, after feasting on weaker teams in the early part of the season.
The Steelers will face off with the Baltimore Ravens for the third time this season in the divisional round this season, and while they’re already underdogs, the team just got some very unfortunate injury news.
According to one Steelers reporter, a key piece of the team’s offense has a broken hand.
“OG Mason McCormick suffered a broken hand. Will be fitted for a cast and see how that goes. If he can’t go, Spencer Anderson would be next man up,” reported The Pat McAfee Show’s Mark Kaboly.

Fans reacted to the news of the broken hand on social media.
“Mason McCormick with a broken hand in a AFC North playoff game? I might call out of work this week I’m fired up,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Starts off press conference just saying he’s thankfully they made the playoffs. Just shows you his mindset,” one fan said of the press conference in which Steelers head coach revealed McCormick’s diagnosis.
It’ll be interesting to see if McCormick can tough the injury out on Saturday.
