The deal with Vick is reportedly for one year and about $1 million.
Unsurprisingly, the signing of Vick created a bit of a storm on Twitter within the Steelers fan base, even though Vick is only being signed as the team’s backup quarterback. Some fans were welcoming.

However, many other fans were not as warm to the signing due to the prison sentence that Vick received for running a dogfighting operation back in 2007 (Vick served his time, and has since worked with the Humane Society and he was “instrumental in getting a federal bill passed that makes it a felony to bring a child to an animal fight” according to ESPN).
