Serena Williams sent a brutal dig toward Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker on stage at the ESPYs, with Butker sitting feet away from her.
According to The Daily Mail, a segment hosted by Serena, her sister Venius and Quinta Brunson spoke about women’s sports.
“So go ahead and enjoy women’s sports like any other sports, because they are sports, Venus said.
“Except for you, Harrison Butker,” Serena said. “We don’t need you.”
Brunson finished Butker with, “At all. Like, ever.”
Butker drew plenty of criticism for comments he made during a graduation ceremony at a private religious university.
The comments were perceived by many as being antisemitic, misogynistic and downright weird.
“I want to speak directly to you briefly because I think it is you, the women, who have had the most diabolical lies told to you,” Butker said.
“How many of you are sitting here now about to cross the stage, and are thinking about all the promotions and titles you’re going to get in your career?” he asked. “Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world. But I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world.”
Butker did not immediately respond to the barbs from the Williams sisters.
