The San Francisco 49ers were reportedly unhappy with the field conditions they were given to practice on leading up to Super Bowl LVIII, but it sounds like the team is going to make it work.
On Monday morning, NFL insider Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports reported that the San Francisco 49ers were “not pleased” with their practice field for the week as the team believed the field to be too soft for their liking. But on Monday, San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan seemed to indicate that the team is not all that concerned about it after all.
“Not worried at all,” Shanahan said according to Cam Inman of the San Joes Mercury News on X, formerly Twitter. “It improves each day so hopefully it will get better and better.”

The team had a few options if the field was not up to their standards – they could simply practice on it anyway, they could request new sod to be put out, or they could try to work out a way to practice at the Las Vegas Raiders facilities along with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Based on these comments from Shanahan, it sounds like the team is choosing the first option.
